Call One raises funds for local charity to continue its long-run tradition of giving back to community
Call One proudly supported and raised much-needed funds for the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) throughout the 2018 calendar year. Through company-wide events including the Call One Caddyshack, raffles, employee-match, drives, etc.– more than $30,000 dollars will be donated to CCH.
CCH is a Chicago-based non-profit focused on fulfilling the human right to housing. They fight against homelessness through community organizing, advocacy, and legal aid – pressing for measures that help homeless individuals land on their feet.
Call One selected CCH as their featured charitable organization through the year of 2018 (CCH was featured in 2017, as well) by popular vote of Call One Employees.
Call One’s Pricing Team Lead and member of the Give Back Committee, Kelly O’Hara led all efforts to raise funds and awareness throughout Call One by sending out raffles for Chicagoland sporting events. Employees could purchase a ticket for a chance to win the coveted prizes which included tickets to games, featuring the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and more! O’Hara also worked to recruit and organize volunteers for Call One’s participation in Chicago’s Riot Fest, where proceeds from the tent in which they worked, were donated to CCH.
In addition to funds raised for CCH, O’Hara leads two separate drives including a Coat Drive for Salvation Army and collected leftover Halloween candy to be sent overseas to deployed service members.
As a year-end effort to give back to the community, Call One reached out to a local school to provide Secret Santa presents to children. Employees committed to a number of students and were able to read Dear Santa letters to learn more about the child and what they were hoping Santa would leave under the tree for them!
Call One’s charitable efforts run deep to its original Founder, Craig Foster. While building Call One, Foster stressed the importance of culture and giving back.
